Co-evolution of fruit size and color categories (mammal vs. bird dispersal syndromes) was confirmed, with mammal-color fruits being larger and more variable. Phylogenetic analysis showed no systematic color clustering but significant clustering in presentation type, supporting adaptive rather than phylogenetic inertia.
